Terms of use of the site, user accounts, classified ads and contributions.
Language and legal value. This page is written in French and constitutes the only legally binding version of the Site. In the event of a translation into another language, the French version shall prevail.

These Terms of Use (hereinafter “Terms”) define the terms and conditions of use of the website www.justfordiplomats.com (hereinafter “the Site”).
By browsing the Site, you fully and unreservedly accept these Terms. If you do not accept these conditions, we invite you not to use the Site.
The Site is freely accessible to any person with Internet access. The publisher implements reasonable means to keep the Site accessible, but is not bound by an obligation of result regarding availability.
Certain features of the Site may require the creation of an account.
Access to the Site is reserved for invited persons. An account can only be created upon presentation of a nominative invitation, sent by an already registered member, or by the publisher following a request examined individually. Any registration without a valid invitation is refused.
The invitation is personal: it is linked to the email address it targets, can only be used once, and expires at the end indicated in the invitation email. It cannot be resold or transferred.
The inviting member guarantees the identity of the person they bring in. They are informed of this before sending. In the event of an abusive or fraudulent invitation, the publisher may suspend the account of the invitee as well as that of the inviter.
Persons who do not have an invitation may request one from the publisher, at the address info@justfordiplomats.com. The publisher then verifies the institutional address of the applicant. It remains entirely free to grant or refuse access, without having to justify the reason.
When creating an account, you undertake to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
You are solely responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials. The processing of your personal data, including the traffic measurement described in point 4 of the privacy policy, is detailed in this document annexed to these terms. Any use of your account with your credentials is deemed to have been carried out by you.
The publisher reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in the event of a violation of these Terms, fraudulent behaviour or abusive use of the Site.
In order for the network to be useful from the first connection, the sharing options are activated by default when the account is created: display of the email address, display of the telephone number, presence in the members’ directory, sharing of the career path and sharing of the destination.
This default activation does not make any data public: contact details are only visible to connected members, and the career path as well as the destination are only visible to members with whom the user is in contact.
Each option can be deactivated at any time, individually, from the “My account” section of the profile. Deactivation takes effect immediately and applies to all views of the site. The user is informed of these settings upon registration and in the user guide accessible from the menu.
Classified ads are reserved for diplomats and their families.
When posting an ad, you undertake to:
Each ad is subject to validation before publication. The publisher reserves the right to refuse or remove any ad without justification.
The publisher cannot be held responsible for transactions concluded between users. Classified ads are published under the sole responsibility of their authors.
Member diplomats may fill in the sections of the guides, create new ones and propose corrections to already verified sections.
Immediate publication, review afterwards. A contribution is published as soon as it is sent, marked “to be reviewed”. The publisher then reviews it and may correct, validate or remove it. When a section is validated, its modification by another member does not apply directly: it becomes a proposed correction, subject to review.
Confirmation by peers. A member may confirm a section of their country of posting, excluding those they have written themselves. Confirmation moves the section to “verified” and commits its author, whose name is kept in the history of the section.
Each section retains the history of its versions: author, date and content. The publisher reserves the right to refuse, modify or remove any contribution without justification, and to hide a contribution reported as outdated.
By submitting a contribution, you undertake to:
By publishing a contribution, you grant the publisher the right to reproduce, adapt and disseminate it on the Site, free of charge, for the duration of publication.
All content of the Site (texts, guides, logo, graphic charter, structure) is the exclusive property of the publisher.
Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication or adaptation, total or partial, is prohibited without prior written authorisation.
The publisher cannot be held responsible for:
The Site may contain links to third-party sites. These links are provided for information purposes. The publisher exercises no control over the content of these sites and declines any responsibility regarding their availability or content.
The publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. The modifications take effect as soon as they are published on the Site.
It is your responsibility to consult these Terms regularly in order to become aware of any modification.
These Terms are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, and failing amicable resolution, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
